was recently in the news when certain sections of the media reported that she's doing the upcoming '
Bigg Boss OTT
', which is going to be hosted by
Karan Johar.
ETimes TV got into a chat with Maera. Here are the excerpts from the conversation that transpired:
We hear that you are doing 'Bigg Boss OTT'...I have been offered 'Bigg Boss OTT' and I am in talks for that. However, nothing has been finalised. I have yet to sign on the dotted line.
Would you like to do a show like 'Bigg Boss'?Why not? I would love to do it. But I am upset about one thing.
Which is?Why am I so frequently referred to as
Adhyayan Suman's ex? I have an identity of my own. Before Adhyayan came into my life, I was written as Maera Mishra (pauses).
Please continue...Adhyayan and I were together for a brief period. It was good while it lasted. But we couldn't sustain it. That's the end of the story. Why are bigger actors not referred to as someone's ex? Why these double standards? This is not fair, neither to me nor to Adhyayan. I am sure that if there's someone else in my life now, he too won't like it.
Is there anybody in your life now?There is someone, he isn't from the industry though.
What happened to 'Sasural Simar Ka'. You were selected for it, right?Of course, I am doing 'Sasural Simar Ka'. It's just that my track hasn't started. It will start in August. In the COVID scenario, a lot of the storyline was changed. Hence, the delay.
'Sasural Simar Ka' or 'Bigg Boss OTT'- choose one. In fact, that may happen with you...That's a tough one. But then I'll choose 'Sasural Simar Ka'.
But if you do 'Bigg Boss OTT', the inmates will definitely discuss Adhyayan Suman with you. A contestant's past is the grain of the show...Then they will hear from me what only I want them to hear. Nothing beyond that.
Provocation is the other name of 'Bigg Boss'...Nobody can provoke me.
