He later went on to do another comedy show
Mad In India
on Star Plus, but the show failed to create any magic and was soon pulled offair. While talking to the Times Of India, Sunil admitted that Mad In India was indeed a bad show.

My character "Gutthi" was an immense hit then, and after quitting CNWK, I had to do some show, so I picked Mad in India. The show was not my show, we had a bunch of others on the show and other creative team was also involved. It's fine sometimes some shows work and sometimes they don't its part and parcel of life but I feel Mad In India was a bad show," said Sunil.
