Lucknow’s vibe is very different: Bharat Ahlawat
Bharat Ahlawat, from Delhi, known for his roles in shows like Yeh Hai Chahatein and Chahenge Tumhe Itna, is currently seen in the TV show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, where he plays the lead role alongside actress Ayushi Khurana. During his visit to Lucknow, Bharat shared insights into how his acting journey began, his personal mantra for handling stress, and how he draws from his own life experiences to bring depth to his character on the show.
Telling us about his Lucknow visit, he shared, “This is the first time I am in Lucknow, The vibe here is very different, the weather is pleasant, different from Mumbai. I am from Delhi; I moved to Mumbai back in 2019. My parents still live in Delhi. Lucknow is the city of nawabs so I was eager to explore the city and its food.”
Always wanting to be an actor, Bharat said, “To be an actor was always my goal. I did some modeling for fun, for survival, for being independent. Since school, I used to search online pictures of actors, copy their pose, take my pictures and upload them on the internet. Later, I started doing acting workshops, and after that, I started enjoying it. The idea that you portray a character that you’re not in real life, was very fascinating. Slowly, with practice I now enjoy it a lot. Now, Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile is my third show. I am having a good time and I am loving this journey, touchwood.”
Ask him if he feels that the shelf life of TV actors was very limited these days and he said, “The shelf life of TV actors is really up to an individual. It depends on how you see your life and career. Everyone’s journey is different and you can’t judge it based on anything else. As for the medium being female-oriented, I don’t see it like that. I’ve never faced such issues.”
