Lavina Tandon hits the road to Nepal with pet Junior
While most birthdays in the entertainment industry are marked by parties and social gatherings, Lavina Tandon has chosen to celebrate hers differently this year. The actress is currently on an 18-day road trip to Nepal with her pet dog Juno (Junior), combining spirituality, travel and a deeply personal celebration that holds emotional significance for both of them.
For Lavina, Nepal was more than just a travel destination. She says, “Nepal had always been on my list because of the Pashupatinath Temple, and my entire family are devoted Shiv bhakts. I have always loved animals, and Mahadev is regarded as the protector of all living beings, so visiting the temple felt especially meaningful to me.”
This year’s journey became even more special because it also marked Juno’s 10th birthday on May 20. Explaining why she wanted him to be part of the trip, the actress, who has been part of shows like Jodha Akbar, Baal Veer, Chandra Nandini and Vighnaharta Ganesh, says, “My pets have changed my life for the better, so whenever possible, I prefer travelling with them. Since it was Juno’s birthday as well, I wanted this journey to celebrate both of us. In cities, pets often remain confined to apartments while we stay occupied with work and routine life. I wanted him to experience nature, open spaces and the joy of travelling.”
The actress also chose to travel by road instead of flying, something she had wanted to do for a long time. “A road trip had always been on my bucket list because travelling in your own car gives you a sense of freedom and comfort. The experience of driving across cities and even entering another country by road feels incredibly liberating,” she signs off.
