The launch of

Baal Shiv

, which was originally planned for August 31 has been pushed. Reason? Well, there has been a copyright infringement suit filed against the makers of the show recently.
A source shared, "The suit has been filed by writer and mythologist Chotenlal Saini in the Bombay High Court. Well, the scriptwriter has sought an injunction order to restrain the channel from the release of the show. The writer claims to have been the first to conceptualize the idea of Baal Shiv as a serial. However, the

Bombay High Court

has allowed the channel to continue with the promo of the mythological show with its new launch date, which is said to be September 15. There have been two hearings of the case so far."
Commenting on the issue, the channel's spokesperson said, "Due to pending legal proceedings in the Hon’ble Bombay High Court, we have decided to re-schedule the launch of Baal Shiv, without prejudice to our legal rights. Since the matter is sub-judice we would not like to comment further."
The show's cast comprises Aan Tiwari as Baal Shiv,

Mouli Ganguly

as Mahasati Anusuya,

as Mahadev, Shivya Pathania as Devi Parvati, Krrip Kapur Suri as Asur Andhak, Praneet Bhatt as Narad Muni, Danish Akhtar Saifi as Nandi, Dakssh Ajit Singh as Indra, Anjita Poonia as Indrani, Ravi Khanvilkar as Archarya Dandpani, Rajeev Bhardwaj as Rishi Atri and Pallavi Pradhan as Maina Devi, among others.
