Laksh Lalwani joins Drashti Dhami in Ekta Kapoor's show
Following our report on Drashti Dhami being signed to play the protagonist in Ekta Kapoor's next for Star Plus, we are back to update you with another big development on the casting front. Actor Laksh Lalwani, who played the male lead in &TV's 'Adhuri Kahani Hamari' and was often in the news for the alleged animosity with his heroine Mahima Makwana, has been finalised to play the other male lead.
Says a source closely associated with the project, "Laksh will play a rich spoilt brat called Veer. His character will be on the lines of Apurva Agnihotri's in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Pardes'."
Laksh remained unavailable for comment on the news.
As reported by us last month, Shaleen Malhotra, who catapulted to fame as Arjun in the cop-drama by the same name, will play the male lead. The show will also mark his return to the fiction genre after three years. The initial few portions of the show in all probability will be shot in Austria in September.
