Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to shut down? Channel reacts to the rumours and spin-off claims
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been winning hearts with its fun and exciting episodes. Recently, there have been rumours of the show shutting down and being replaced by a spin-off show. While Smriti Irani recently reacted to the rumours, the channel has now issued an official statement calling them ‘baseless.’
Talking on their Instagram handle, the channel wrote, “We have noticed some media reports that are circulating stating that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 is shutting down and getting replaced with Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain. We would like to state that these reports are baseless; we are not shutting down Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, and there is no end date for the show as yet.”
Fans reacted to it in the comment section and expressed their take. They thanked the page for clearing the air. Recently, Smriti Irani also made a comment on an Instagram page reacting to claims of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi being replaced by a spin-off show.
The comment read, “May want to check PR content with authorities that have IP rights. I am not associated with any other show except Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. No spin-off program is authorised for my engagement legally, which entitles use of my image and/or personality. Do check so that viewers are not misinformed.”
Apart from Smriti Irani, the show features Amar Upadhyay, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Shakti Anand, Ritu Seth, Ketaki Dave, and Komolika Guhathakurta, all reprising their earlier roles. The new cast includes Rohit Suchanti, Shagun Sharma, Aman Gandhi, Tanisha Mehta, Prachi Singh, and Ankit Bhatia.
