Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor Amar Upadhyay's son Aryaman grabs attention for striking resemblance to his father at Ganpati celebrations
Television actor Amar Upadhyay, remembered for his role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi alongside Smriti Irani, welcomed Ganpati at home this year with his family. Despite the actor’s popularity, all eyes were on his son Aryaman this time during the visarjan festivities. Fans were surprised to see how much Aryaman looks like Amar in his younger days.
The father-son duo stepped out together for the immersion, and their pictures and videos soon went viral on social media. Many fans commented that Aryaman is almost a “mirror image” of his father. Amar and Aryaman both were dressed in traditional outfits and were seen taking part in the rituals with full devotion. They joined in chanting prayers and bidding farewell to Lord Ganesha with their family. Amar’s wife Hetal Upadhyay, daughter Chenab, and close friends were also present for the celebrations.
Amar, despite his busy work life, makes sure to never miss out on Ganpati celebrations at home. Talking about this, he told Bombay Times, “I miss being present for the evening aartis because of work, but I make sure to do the first and the last aarti; those are very important to me. I believe I am blessed with work because of Bappa, so I must also respect my professional commitments.” The actor and his family have been bringing Ganpati home for the last 25 years, making it a long-standing tradition.
Back in the early 2000s, Amar and Smriti Irani’s characters Tulsi and Mihir were known as one of television’s most loved on-screen couples. Today, the story has come full circle with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. The show just within a week of launch made a huge mark. The opening episode received a TRP of 2.5, and the overall weekly TRP stood at 2.3. The reboot has even managed to overtake long-running popular shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Anupamaa in the ratings chart, proving that the magic of the show is still alive.
