‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’ February 18 written update: Dev’s truth comes out, Saloni still agrees to marry him

The episode begins with the family finding out about the demeaning newspaper article about Saloni. Tulsi directly confronts Dev and asks if he was involved in getting the derogatory information published.Dev officially admits that he was behind the newspaper article, after which Tulsi slaps him. She expresses regret over his recent actions and further confesses that she should have slapped some sense into him long ago, as things would never have escalated to this point.She further calls him out for attacking Saloni’s dignity. Dev tries to say that the article does not matter. He further tries to excuse his actions by citing that people will forget and stop talking about it in a couple of days; however, Tulsi refuses to forgive him for his actions. She tells him that in her family, boys and men were always taught how to treat and respect a woman. She asks him to apologize to the family and admit all of his wrongdoings; however, he refuses to do so.Tulsi then directly tells Babu Ji about the matter and shares that she agrees with him on how Dev and Saloni should not get married. The entire family is left shocked by the news, as even Dev confesses and admits his mistakes. Later in the episode, Dev directly approaches Babu Ji to explain his actions. He tells him that he was feeling angry over his marriage with Saloni being called off, and that is why he published the article and called her a cheater. Saloni also stands by his side despite his actions. She tells Babu Ji to forget and forgive his mistakes, pleading that she has already accepted him as her husband and does not wish to see him punished.A flashback plays on screen, showing how Dev is not actually remorseful over his actions, but was instead advised by Noina. She had earlier approached him and told him that his reaction was understandable. She further shared with him that his article and emotions were not wrong; however, getting caught was. In order to get back into everyone’s good books, she advises him to apologize publicly and to directly talk to Saloni rather than staying away. While Tulsi continues to say that the marriage is wrong and that Saloni and Dev should stay away from each other, the rest of the family counters her. Saloni’s father, as well as Babu Ji, both comment about how they only wish to see Saloni happy, no matter what. The two of them get married despite Tulsi being adamant that their marriage should not happen. Later on, Suchi and Noina talk about the recent events, and further rejoice that no one found out her truth and how she revealed Mihir and Tulsi’s secret. However, it is shown that Tulsi, who was passing by, overheard the entire conversation. She confronts her directly and asks her why she would do something like this to her own family. Noina tells her that she already knows the reason, to which Tulsi comments and states that she knows that Noina is insecure about her relationship with Mihir.The episode ends with Tulsi further explaining why she refused to divorce Mihir. Rather than telling the truth about how Mihir had pleaded with her not to divorce him because of Babu Ji, she shares her own reason. She confesses that officially signing the divorce papers would mean that she would also lose Shanti Niketan. She adds that she no longer has any intentions of getting back with Mihir despite everything.
