Kushal Tandon: All is well between Gauahar and me

Actor Kushal Tandon is in Lucknow these days to celebrate Diwali with his family playing cards with my family. “I will be , achha khana khayengey, ghar pe puja karengey, dad ke office mein puja karengey and that's it,“ says Kushal, who's off sweets for the time being. “I am on a strict diet and have to lose weight and get completely in shape,“ rues Kushal, who recently tweeted about his break-up with girlfriend Gauahar Khan.

But the actor says that all is now well between them. “Mujhe gussa bohot aata hai ­ I am an angry young Punjabi man!“ says Kushal by way of explanation for his break-up announcement, “But mera gussa khatam bhi ho jata hai jaldi. Main dil ka saaf hoon and I am a straightforward guy . And to be frank, people love me for this attitude as they know that I am still a child,“ says Kushal adding, “Gauahar is a very nice girl. I always loved her and I still love her, and she loves me too. All is well between us now. Ek relationship mein ladai hoti hai, gussa aata hai, break-up hota hai and then patch up bhi ho jata hai. Yeh mere aur Gauahar ke beech mein ladai thi.“
But what of his allegations that Gauahar was trying to impose her religious beliefs on him? “That was like what happens between couples in which the girl and boy are from two different religions, waisi humari bhi baat hui. Mujhse galti hui and uss galti ko maine sudhar bhi liya by giving a detailed explanation on Twitter,“ says Kushal.

Coming to Bigg Boss, the show on which he met Gauahar, Kushal says he is done with it. “I was approached to appear on Bigg Boss Season 8, but as of now I have refused. Ab dusari baar main Bigg Boss mein nahi jaa sakta.But yes, if someday I have to host it, I wouldn't mind going there,“ he says tongue-in-cheek.
Telling us about what's happening on his professional front, Kushal says, “I did Fear Factor Khattron Ke Khiladi soon after Bigg Boss, apart from a music video. After that I have been on six months' rehab because of my shoulder surgery . I have done four reality shows, plus one fiction, and now I am looking forward to my Bollywood dream. My aim is to get the best body and then pursue my Bollywood dream in full force. Not many people know that I was approached for Leela opposite Sunny Leone, but since I had an injury and there were fighting scenes in it, I had to let go of it.“
So, has Kushal bid goodbye to the small screen? “I am not saying a complete no to fiction on TV . If something is really nice and out of the box, I will definitely think about it. But I now want to produce a TV serial and am working towards that too,“ he says.
