Kushal Punjabi known for his roles in shows like
Ishq Mein Marjawan
, Fear Factor, Zor Ka Jhatka, Kasamh Se amongst others committed suicide at his Bandra residence on December 26 last year. After Kushal's sudden demise, several reports of problems in the late actor's married life did the rounds in the media.
However, Kushal's family has now jointly released a statement rubbishing these reports. The late actor's family which includes

, Priya Punjabi and Ritika Punjabi, has released a joint statement saying that their son was a doting father and was emotionally and financially stable.
The statement read, "There have been multiple reports through various media that have been falsely reported as being given by members of Kushal’s family and we hereby confirm these as not being true. Kushal was a very doting father who shared a close relationship with his son, and who was financially stable. Today, we stand together as one family in mourning."
The statement further read, "The family stands together during these difficult times and will always remember the actor as a "much-loved part of this family."
Kushal's wife, who had flown to India to attend his last rites, left for France four days after his funeral. The Kaal actor's last rites were attended by his friends from the fraternity, like Arjun Bijlani, Karanvir Bohra, Kavita Kaushik, Eijaz Khan, Bakhtiyar Irani, Chetan Hansraj, Apoorva Agnihotri and Shilpa Saklani amongst others.
As per a statement from the police, the actor committed suicide by hanging himself and left behind a note that nobody should be blamed for his death.
