Actor-director Shekhar Kapur, who acted as an IAS officer in Udaan and was paired opposite her, expressed deep shock, when BT reached out to him. He said, "Shocking news. She created perhaps the best series of those times in Udaan. I meet women today in high positions everywhere in India, whether the police force, IT, foreign services and they tell me how they were inspired by Udaan."

She was also known as the popular Lalitaji in Surf commercials.

The show Udaan was inspired by her sister and police officer Kanchan Chaudhary Bhattacharya. Udaan was rerun for viewers during the pandemic on the small screen to inspire the younger generations. The show also had other actors like the late actor Vikram Gokhale, Uttara Baokar and the late actor Satish Kaushik. Her colleague, batchmate at National School of Drama and neighbour Satish Kaushik passed away last year in March and Kaveta had spoken to BT about him. She had said, "I had cast Satish in two different roles in my show Udaan. I knew that he suited the role very much. He was also concerned about me."
