Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 premieres tonight: A look at the past winners of Amitabh Bachchan's hosted show

Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 is all set for its grand premiere tonight (August 14) and it has definitely piqued the audience's interest. Right before the quiz show goes live tonight, let's look back at the past seasons' winners. Here's where they are now:

Kavita Chawla - KBC 14

Kavita Chawla of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, was the season's first and only winner of season 14th. She is a housewife who had wanted to go on the show for the past 22 years.

Himani Bundela - Sahil Ahirwar - Geeta Singh Gaur - KBC 13

Himani Bundela, Sahil Aditya Ahirwar, and Geeta Singh Gaur were the three crorepatis of KBC Season 13. Himani Bundela of Agra, who answered 15 questions and won Rs 1 crore, did not compete for Rs 7 crore and instead became the first visually challenged competitor of the show. Sahil Aditya Ahirwar, a resident of Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh and the son of a security guard finished second in the season. Geeta Singh Gaur, a 53-year-old homemaker from Gwalior, was the season's third winner.

Mohita Sharma and Nazia Nasim - KBC 12

Mohita Sharma, an IPS officer, and Nazia Nasim were the two crorepatis of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12. They became the first all-female clan to win Rs 1 crore and proclaim women's empowerment. Both women amazed host Amitabh Bachchan with their wisdom and skills.

Sanoj Raj, Babita Tade, Ajeet Kumar, Gautam Kumar Jha - KBC 11

Binita Jain - KBC 10

Binita Jain won the 10th series of Kaun Banega Crorepati because she wanted to provide a better life for her kid. She went to a coaching centre and took a teaching position in Guwahati after winning, and aided her children and relatives.

Anamika Majumdar - KBC 9

Anamika Majumdar, a social worker with an NGO, was the ninth season's first crorepati. Majumdar put the money toward the improvement of the NGO.

Achin Narula and Sarthak Narula - KBC 8

The Narula brothers from Delhi, Achin and Sarthak, took the hot seat and won the big prize of Rs 7 crore. The money was spent on their mother's cancer treatment by the brothers.

Firoz Fatima and Taj Mohammad Rangrez - KBC 7

Firoz Fatima was the first female Kaun Banega Crorepati season 7 contestant to win Rs 1 crore. Firoz Fatima, who dropped out of school after her father died, utilized the money to help her family. Taj Mohammad Rangrez, another competitor, got a prize of Rs. 1 crore for his knowledge. He utilized the money to pay for his daughter's partial eyesight impairment therapy, to buy a house, and to sponsor the weddings of two orphaned girls.

Sunmeet Kaur - KBC 6

Sunmeet Kaur had a degree in fashion design but was unable to pursue her job due to her in-laws. She founded her own fashion house after winning KBC.

Sushil Kumar - KBC 5

Sushil Kumar, a computer operator from Bihar, earned Rs. 5 crore in the 2011 KBC. He was the first competitor to win such a large sum on the show. However, in a social media post, he described earning Rs 5 crore as the worst moment of his life, during which he nearly divorced his wife, went bankrupt, and became an alcoholic.

Rahat Taslim - KBC 4

Rahat Taslim took part in the fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2010 and made history by winning Rs. 1 crore as the grand prize. When Rahat got married off, she was studying for her medical exams. Rahat launched a clothing showroom in a Giridih mall after obtaining the prize money.

Brajesh Dubey - KBC 2

Season 3 of Kaun Banega Crorepati did not have any Crorepati. Brajesh Dubey an engineer from Guna won Rs 1 crore in KBC 2.

Harshwardhan Nawathe - KBC 1

When Harshvardhan Nawathe was studying for the Civil Services exam, he received an audition call for Kaun Banega Crorepati. He became the first crorepati of this quiz show and moved to the United Kingdom to further his education. He now works at a big firm.
