In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Jaya Sharda Patel from Chhattisgarh takes the hotseat after the second round of ‘Fastest Finger First’. Big B says, “In this entire game, I will keep remembering my wife because your name is Jaya.”
Contestant Jaya says she had a gift shop earlier but now gives tuition to 100 + students at home. She says, “From morning 8am to 8.30pm I am busy tutoring at home.”
The game starts with question for Rs 1000: In India, which of these drinks is usually prepared by boiling? A. Tea, B. Lemonade, C. Aamras, D. Buttermilk.
She correctly answers option A and says it is her favourite.
Big B asks Jaya if she is a strict teacher. She replies, “I have two names Jaya and Juhi. When I am Jaya, I am strict. When I am Juhi, I am normal.” She then goes on to ask the host, “Sir, what is your experience with the name Jaya? Big B is tongue-tied and says, “My experience is JayJu (Jaya+Juhi). She is strict and lenient both. When strict, I don’t get out of room. She is mostly strict towards me. When she is lenient, she is very soft towards kids also.”
Amitabh Bachchan learns that she drinks tea 4-5 times. She says, “While tutoring I keep drinking tea to relieve the stress. Big B then gets tea for the contestant. She says, “This is the best tea because you gave it.” Big B tells her to keep on sipping the tea while he asks her questions.
She uses audience poll lifeline for question: In English literature, which of these are ‘Paradise Lost’ and ‘Paradise Regained’ examples of? A. Novels, B. Autobiographies, C. Poems, D. Short stories.
She goes for option C and wins Rs 80,000.
She talks about her life story and replies, “I had a gift shop and was an owner. I wanted to continue it. But after my father’s demise, I had to shut the shop. Tutoring seemed to be the best option. I am the eldest of the three sisters. So I take care of them too. We stay in a rented flat and my mom wants a ‘button’ home. We have to tell the landlord to switch on the pump. So she wants a house, in which she will have the control to the switches.”
She wins Rs 70,000 in Super Sandook round and revives the audience poll lifeline.
She uses audience poll lifeline for Rs 6,40,000 question: Who chaired the first Round Table Conference? A. King George VI, B. Mahatma Gandhi, C. Ramsay MacDonald, D. Dadabhai Naoroji.
She uses video call a friend lifeline too but gets no help. Big B advises her to play the question as it is a no risk question. She uses Double Dip lifeline and goes for option A. She then goes for option B but that’s wrong too.
The correct answer is option C. Jaya takes home Rs 3,20,000.
