Karuna Pandey: I am not a person who takes social media pressure

Actress Karuna Pandey, who is seen in the show Pushpa Impossible, was earlier part of the dance reality show. What many don't know is that she has learned dance as a child.

Sharing about her love for dance, she says, "I started with learning dance at a young age. I have learnt Bharatnatyam and Kathak but never completed any course. I just left them in between because my dad was in the Army. He used to get posted to a new place every two years. We kept changing cities, I kept learning dance but never learnt it fully. After my graduation in Punjab, I did my degree in MA in Performing Arts. That's how slowly I got into theatre in Delhi and eventually came to Mumbai to be part of films and TV shows. But the dancer in me is still alive."

Today, social media has become very important for actors. Some enjoy posting there while some feel pressured to keep up with the changing trends. There have been times when actors have spoken about how it has become crucial to be on social media because casting takes place on the basis of the number of followers they have.

Asked Karuna if she feels pressurised to be active there, she says, "I am not a person who takes social media pressure. I know that it is important in today's time so I am trying to understand it better. If it is necessary, I even post at times but I don't take the pressure. I feel that when we are shooting for TV shows, it is anyway hectic, so why take other pressures in life? I like to enjoy whatever I do, be it my work or posting on social media."
