Between puppy kisses from Noah – the furball that follows him everywhere during the shoot – Karan Wahi tells us that he would be celebrating Diwali in Mumbai. “My parents come from Delhi to celebrate Diwali with us in Mumbai. It has been 20 years since I shifted to Mumbai, so the celebrations do not feel any different from Delhi. However, in Delhi, it was all about family gatherings. In Mumbai, I meet up with friends to celebrate the festival,” he shares, adding, “For me, Diwali has always meant diyas, mithai, delicious food, and loved ones coming together. As a kid, I enjoyed bursting crackers, but I haven’t done that in 15 years due to pollution.”

CELEBRATION SHOULD NOT HARM THE ENVIRONMENT OR ANIMALS’
As a pet parent, Karan makes sure his fur baby stays comfortable during Diwali. “I keep him indoors as much as possible and cover his ears if the sound seems to bother him,” says the Raisinghani VS Raisinghani actor. He adds, “I believe in celebrating the festival in a way that it does not harm the environment or all the animals. And I urge others to do the same.” While Diwali bashes are in full swing, the actor doesn’t prefer attending parties. “I only go when my close friends organise Diwali parties,” he says, adding, “I am grateful for the year that has gone by, and I would like to send my Diwali greetings to everyone celebrating.”
