Karan Jotwani, who is currently seen in the

TV

show ‘Qurbaan Hua’, has joined thousands of people, who are volunteering to help

migrant workers

and daily wage earners. The

actor

joined hands with an NGO to help those in dire situations. Karan said, “I feel that during such testing times, there is nothing that comes above humanity and hence, I wanted to volunteer for something that would make a difference. Throughout the

lockdown

, I was finding ways to help people and animals around me, be it feeding strays or giving food to underprivileged people. I decided to volunteer for an organisation, which supplies food to those who need it urgently. We also purchase biscuits and water bottles for migrant workers, who are either struggling to buy food or travelling back to their hometown via buses or trains.”

He added, “With permission from the police, we provided food to migrant workers, the needy as well as daily wage earners. I recently visited a bus depot and residential colony to distribute food. It was a joyful feeling to help those in need. I feel this is the time to show our humanity and I am honoured to be able to do so.”

The actor was earlier seen in 'Aapke Aa Jane Se', 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hai' and 'Kumkum Bhagya'.
