The Great Indian Kapil Show is coming to OTT for its third season. The recent revelation that comedian Kapil Sharma will be back with his group has fans delighted. During the announcement ceremony, Sharma discussed his relationship with the squad and what to expect in the third season. He also revealed an interesting fact: Coldplay wanted to appear on the show.
The British band Coldplay, which just performed back-to-back concerts in India, is extremely popular in the nation. At the ceremony, Kapil Sharma disclosed that the band had written to them and expressed their want to come on their show.
Kapil Sharma said, "Humlog toh inko (makers) bole pura saal set lagake rakhho. Aap believe nahi karoge log Coldplay ke liye ticket le rahe hain, unka email humein aa raha tha humein aapke show mein aana.’ Humne kaha le toh aate humara chal nahi raha abhi. Toh, it’s a humble request for Netflix– guys, please keep going on."
( We had asked the makers to keep the setting all year. You won't believe it: people were buying Coldplay tickets, but they sent us an email stating they wanted to come to our event instead. I answered, 'They should have come; our show isn't going right now. So, a simple request to Netflix: please keep it continuing.)
Furthermore, he joked about his argument with Sunil Grover when Maniesh Paul asked him what viewers should expect from Season 3. Sharma stated, "Season 3 toh inke liye; humare liye toh ek aur episode hain. It's a 200-episode serial. Wo bhi humlog taab taak nahi bandh karte, jab tak humara khud ka ladai na ho jaye."
The preceding two seasons of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which was hosted by comedian Kapil Shama, also included Archana Puran Singh, Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Sunil Grover.
