Twitter is a live, open, conversational platform where content that’s topical and compelling goes viral. Here, the true impact of a personality/brand is measured by the number of engagements (which includes re-tweets, likes and replies) the Twitter handle gets. Celebrities could have a massive following on Twitter owing to their popularity, but it’s not necessary that they leave a solid impact or impression on people following them. One important criteria is that only ‘verified’ Twitter handles are taken into consideration. The list features personalities and media brands in various categories. Let’s take a look at which television personalities engaged their followers best in their respective categories in 2015.
Gauhar Khan tops this list, while the most followed female TV personality Mandira Bedi ranks lower on the ‘engagement scale’ Karishma Tanna is a surprise at No. 2, despite not being amongst the Top 10 most followed female TV personalities
