Kanika Mann: 'Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Nishant had shared his apprehensions with me'

lead Kanika Mann was recently in Jaipur to shoot for a music video. She was in the city with her mother. While the actress couldn’t get time off from her shoot to explore the city, her mother made the most of her trip by indulging in a retail therapy in the Walled City and even visiting Bhangarh Fort, situated on the outskirts of Jaipur. “It was a Sufi music video. I was busy shooting for the video and thus, even though I wanted to, I couldn’t explore Jaipur. But my mom did and she bought so many things,” she says.



On the work front, Kanika is fully committed to Guddan... and as of now, wants to remain loyal to the show. Since Kanika’s former co-star and close friend Nishant Malkani is in Bigg Boss this year, the actress is closely following the show and tells us that Nishant is showing his real self. “Nishant bahut cheezein aisi karta hain jisse logo ko lagta hai ki woh fake hai. At first, even I thought so. But when I got to know him closely, I realised that it’s part of his behaviour. On the show, a few contestants accused him saying that he is fake and always acting. I just want to say that a person can be fake or act for just a few days. But then, he will show his true personality. But if he is like that always, then that’s his personality and we should accept the way he is,” she shares.



Kanika also mentions that Nishant was a bit apprehensive before saying yes to the show. “He was a bit scared and he shared his feelings with me. He was scared that if he reacts in a certain way in an argument or fight, or says things in anger, then people watching him might judge him. He was a bit apprehensive about his image and was doubtful whether participating in Bigg Boss will go in his favour or not, because people are watching you 24*7. And I think all his doubts and apprehensions were understandable. I get jitters the moment I think about me going inside the house and staying for so many days. Sabko thoda darr lagta hai. The show’s concept is such. But I made him understand that he should not think too much about it and just show his real side. And I am happy that he is doing exactly the same,” she says. Apart from Nishant, Kanika is fond of Rubina Dilaik. “I find her relatable and genuine,” she shares. Kanika and Nishant have often been linked up together but the former maintains that they are just close friends and nothing more than that. “I think when two people work together, something or the other is written about them. Initially, I didn’t talk to Nishant much fearing link-up rumours. But then, people wrote about us anyway. So, I thought that it’s better to start talking and be friends with Nishant because such rumours and link-up stories are not going to stop,” she says.

. On working with Savi, Kanika says, “Both of us have become good friends as we are similar on many levels. In fact, even though Nishant and I are best friends, we are quite opposites in terms of our personality and behaviour. However, Savi is just like me. He is co-operative and focused on his work. We also have similar likes and dislikes.”
