Kanchi Singh: As soon as I landed in Jaipur, I had dal baati

Actress Kanchi Singh

is currently in Jaipur for an OTT shoot and she is making the most of her visit there. The actress was earlier shooting for her debut movie Shukrdosh whose second schedule got postponed due to the nationwide lockdown, but she is likely to begin shooting for it again later this month.

For now, the actress is making the most of her stay in Jaipur with her mother. Recently she visited the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, which she says was a wonderful experience.

“I was inside the dargah premises for an hour and also bought a tokri which you have to keep on your head while praying. It was an emotional moment for me and my mom because we two couldn’t control our tears there. I prayed for healing and prosperity and I didn’t feel like leaving from there. There were a lot of people, but we made sure that we followed all the norms and took all safety precautions,” says Kanchi.

Jaipur is famous for its jewellery and outfits and Kanchi has bought a lot of stuff.

“My mother really liked the sarees which were there so she bought them for herself and I was fascinated by the suits and ornaments. I plan to shop more before I leave because such opportunities are rare in these pandemic times."

She is also gorging on the food there. "I am a big fan of dal-baati and as soon as I landed in the city, I relished a plate of it first and then started doing other things,” says Kanchi.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress, who became a household name as Gayatri from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was recently set to return to television after 4 years but things didn't work out.

She says, "This year is turning out to be a productive one for me till now. I am shooting for my debut movie and doing my first OTT project. And now I am open to doing TV shows too,” Kanchi says.
