reveals being vocal about the issue with her 14 year-old-daughter Sara on the issue. This day is observed to mark changes in the social stigma associated with menstruation.
Kajal says, "We need to create a world where every woman takes care of her
menstrual hygiene
without any hesitation or shame. Menstrual Hygiene includes the fact that everyone who has periods should have access to necessary and affordable menstrual hygiene materials. That includes tampons, sanitary pads, menstrual cups, sanitised places to change and dispose off used napkins. Being a mother, I'm vocal to my daughter about the issue."
The actress urges women to come out strong and confident. "Maintaining personal hygiene during mensuration is of extreme importance for any woman. You can save yourself from many health issues if you regularly maintain hygiene during menstruation. Never consider menstruation as a problem, enjoy it and come out as strong and confident. Its our pride to be women," she added.
