Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal’s life post quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah; pics with family, modelling days and more

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal’s exit from longest-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah created major controversies with many actors coming out and talking about the toxic work culture on set, mental harassment and a lot more. Post quitting the show, Jennifer gave a glimpse of spending quality time with her family and also shared many moments from her modelling days. Here’s a look at some moments on what’s she’s been up to post the show.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, known as Mrs. Sodhi from the sitcom, shared a major throwback picture from her teenage days. The photo was her first ever clicked photo, shot in a studio. She surely had modelling bug in her since childhood as she wrote, “First ever pic in photo studio when I was 13...”

Jennifer and her actor husband Mayur (aka Bobby) have been married since 1998. She shared a few pictures with him, before their marriage and wrote about how she came to Mumbai with him to apply as an air hostess and ended up being an actress. She wrote, “JAB WE MET... Throwback to the pics of a month after we met in 1998, pics are from the trip to Mumbai visit when I came to apply for air hostess interview with Bobby (my then boy friend)... Never knew will end up in totally different profession and settling in Mumbai... the only thing constant is US.”

Jennifer is known for her videos on social media and post the show, she has been sharing several such videos with husband and daughter Lekissha. The trio’s fun videos are loved by their fans and followers.

Jennifer made a long trip to her hometown in Jabalpur, where she spent time with her family members and relatives. She had written alongside, “Visiting Jabalpur after 8 months for a long trip as I already left Taarak Mehta and no pressure to come to shoot.”

In several videos, Jennifer indirectly wrote about people, who claimed to be friends on the sets, had blocked her, and showed their true colours. On friendship day, Jennifer in a video wrote, “Happy friendship day to everyone, whether you are in block list, mute list , not in list or friend's list.” In another post she had written, “Never imagined life changes in such a short span, me not in serial anymore, so called friends and society vanishing from my life , above all this case, not forgetting no one to support except family and few real friends...”

In another video, Jennifer wrote a strong message of quitting the wrong path and following her calling. She wrote, “Quit when the path is wrong... But if it's right, never ever quit... Money, name, fame, success everything is worldly, sab kuch yahi dhara reh jaega… Jaenge to saath aapke sanskar and karma... Following my calling... Hope everyone finds theirs...”

Jennifer is a trained classical dancer. She shared an old photograph in black and white and wrote, “Kathak is a journey that takes you from the physical to the spiritual.... year 1996... throwback...”
