Jasmin Bhasin breaks down recalling her moments with the late Sidharth Shukla; says ‘For the first time I felt panic attack because I was in shock’

Actress Jasmin Bhasin broke down remembering her close bond with late actor Sidharth Shukla during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan. From fond memories on the sets of Dil Se Dil Tak to the pain of losing a dear friend without closure, Jasmin shared her emotional journey, revealing how Sidharth’s kindness, strength, and sudden passing left a lasting impact on her life.

Fond Memories on Set

“We were foodies,” Jasmin smiled through tears. “Lunch breaks were the highlight—we’d plan what to order from the nearby dhaba. He loved chicken Patiala.” Jasmin recalled working with Sidharth on Dil Se Dil Tak, sharing that their bond was rooted in small, joyful moments. “When you work for one-and-a-half years together, they become your family,” she said.

The Day He Earned Her Respect

“He used to enjoy life. I met him for the first time on the sets of Dil Se Dil Tak. The day I got so much respect for him and started looking up to him I remember I had a scene in my initial days and it was a bit difficult scene,” she recalled emotionally. “It was sunny and he kept standing there to motivate me, to boost me and appreciate to not make me feel that I am a junior artist.” Jasmin credits Sidharth’s support for building her confidence early in her career.

Always There as a Friend

“Sidharth was always that friend who showed up,” Jasmin said. “He was someone who knew how to give the right love, the right respect. If something was wrong, he would always speak up.” His honesty and warmth, she added, made him a rare gem in the industry and in life.

No Real Clashes on Set

Clearing long-standing rumours, Jasmin explained, “I had no indifference with Sidharth or Rashami. Whatever differences existed were between them and the makers.” She added, “They didn’t have any differences between themselves. There were times when they had issues but nothing on the personal level. All the reports about our clashes were rumours.”

Her bond with Rashami

She stated, “I joined the show much later may be in the second month because my entry was in the fifth episode. I would not say that Rashami and I were best of friends but we were cordial co-actors. Sidharth and I were better friends. We would do our job with a lot of dignity and leave.”

The Last Conversation

“We met during Bigg Boss after a long time. Then we lost touch. Our last chat was warm—we wished each other well,” she recalled. “In my head, I had plans to meet him again, but before that… the news came.”

Panic Attack After His Passing

“I never knew what a panic attack felt like until then,” Jasmin said tearfully. “The shock of his sudden passing without a goodbye—it disturbed me deeply. That was the first time I really felt it.” “It’s the guilt that still disturbs me,” Jasmin confessed. “I wish we had taken out time to chill like we planned. But I’m sure, wherever he is, he’s happy. He was too good of a soul.”
