Transgender actress Shubhi Sharma, who was last seen in TV show 'Dhruv Tara' considers lord Krishna as her family since childhood.
She said, "Since childhood I'm a huge admire of lord Krishna. As I was girlish since my choice no one use to become my friend and being lonely wasn't very easy. Infact my brothers use to ignore me and my family use to avoid to take me out on family events.
And during that phase of my life I found a friend, brother and family in lord Krishna. He always motivated me and inspired me to understand and keep moving on. So I feel all my success today is just because of him."
The actress shared that Lord Krishna holds a great significance in her community.
She continued, "Many gods and goddesses in Hinduism and Indian legends are portrayed as both male and female at various times and in different manifestations, or may appear with attributes of both sexes at the same time, for example Mohini, the feminine version of the deity Krishna, is the first transgender figure mentioned in Hindu mythology. In English, Mohini means enchantress, Mohini originally arose while the devas (gods) and asuras (demons) were churning the ocean with the assistance of Vishnu in his Kurma (tortoise) form. Mohini used her charm to separate the devas from the asuras and then offered the devas the elixir of immortality (Amrita). So we transgenders hold equal value in the society. Lord Krishna disguised himself as a lovely woman named Mohini and wedded Aravan for the welfare of the society. Hence the God holds a great significant in our community."
