I’ve become more sensitive, responsible since my pet came into my life: Gagan Anand
Actor Gagan Anand shares a deeply personal and spiritual bond with his pet, Gabru The Shvan, a connection he describes as far beyond a conventional human–animal relationship. A devoted follower of Lord Bhairava, Gagan believes Gabru reflects the sacred presence of Bhairava’s Shvan, the divine companion associated with the deity. “In Sanskrit, a dog is referred to as Shvan, and according to ancient Vedic texts, animals enter our lives through karmic or past-life connections. Nothing is by chance,” he says.
Since Gabru became part of his life, Gagan has experienced a profound emotional shift. “I’ve become more sensitive, more responsible, and more aware of my inner self. Time itself feels different when Gabru is around,” he shares. The bond extends beyond the home, with Gabru often accompanying him to work as well, becoming a constant, grounding presence in his daily life. “I see this companionship as a quiet blessing from Lord Bhairava,” Gagan adds.
