Big CBS plans to woo the urban male audience in India with action movies, shows and also some reality TV
Starting today, BIG CBS Prime will don a new avatar as every aspect of the channel – from the logo to the tags – is changing to blue. The change is restricted not just to its looks but also the content. The channel is all set to bring a fresh batch of action, drama, reality and lifestyle shows to the urban contemporary male audiences in India.
Ex-marine gunnery Sergeant Jethro Gibbs and his team of experts come back to India with an all new season of “NCIS”. Its season 9 was launched here, only on BIG CBS Prime on May 7. As “NCIS” comes to Indian shores, Mark Harmon, the man behind Sergeant Jethro Gibbs, expressed interest in coming to India in person, “To come there and just be able to walk around would be special. I’ve never been to India, but my wife has. She went twice before she met me and absolutely loved it.” Watch the man in action Monday to Friday at 9pm.
The channel will also feature Golden Globe winner Michael C Hall in the hit drama series, “Dexter”. Based on the novel “Darkly Dreaming Dexter” by Jeff Lindsay, the show features the disciplined and murderous psychopath, who slakes his blood lust at night by killing the serial killers he tracks down during the day.
Celebrated host Jeff Probst is back with the latest installment of the world’s longest running reality show –“Survivor: One World” began airing from May 28, Monday to Thursday at 10pm.
Also, a whole new bunch of extraordinary performers will display their thrilling, and sometimes spine-chilling, stunts and talents on the latest season of “America’s Got Talent”. The channel will host its second home-grown property “India’s Prime Icon”, where India will nominate its favourite icons. The show will bring together some of India’s most prolific men, ranging from those who rule Bollywood to the boardroom, the sports field to the music studio, and will feature varied aspects of their lives.
The second seasons of “India’s Sexiest Bachelor” and “India’s Glam Diva” will return to spice up your weekend. The biggest blockbuster action movies will feature on “Prime Attack” and talk show host Jerry Springer will be back with a hot new season. “From global entertainment favourites to locally produced English shows, the channel understands and services the needs of the men. Its well chiseled new look will work excellently with the men as the channel offers some of the hottest and latest global entertainment served fresh on Indian television,” says Tarun Katial, CEO, Reliance Broadcast Network.
