There was a time when TV actors' names would appear at the end of their episodes. But since the past many years, that has not happened because of which viewers do not know them by their real names.

Ankit Siwach, who has been part of shows like Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, Manmohini and Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, feels strongly about this. He believes in the closing credits, actors too should be mentioned.

He says, “I think that's a very basic expectation and I am sure all my colleagues would agree with me. It's sad that viewers today don't know TV actors by their real names. They are familiar with us only by our character names."

He adds, "At the end of the day, everyone would want to be credited for their work. Audiences should know who the actor is. I think our television industry is the only place where they don't give the names of the actors in the closing credits. This is one change that I really hope comes about. Channels and creators should think about it.”

On the work front, he is glad to have got a range of roles to portray. The work schedules are hectic, but one needs to balance it with personal life, he says.

“I think it's about prioritising both. While you're at work, you have to focus completely on that and when you're at home, you have to be in the moment and not think about work. I think that's the best way to manage both," says Ankit, who was last seen on the show Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar.
