Salman Khan’s body double Sagar Pandey passed away while working out at the gym on September 30. He had worked with the superstar in over 50 of his films. Salman posted a photo with Sagar from his 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan and wrote a heartfelt condolence note on social media saying, '
Dil se shukar adda kar raha hoon for being there with me . May your soul rest in peace brother Sagar. Thank u (sic).'
TV actress Kanishka Soni has worked with Sagar in a short film. The Begusarai and Diya Aur Baati Hum actress is shocked at Sagar's sudden demise.
She says, "Two years ago, some of us got together and shot for a small comic for online. We had shot this at his home. He had acted in it too. After that, I bumped into him at an event in Dubai this year. We even went for dinner along with some friends. When I heard this news, I couldn't believe it and I texted him. There was no reply and that's when I realised that the news was true. It's very sad."
She further adds, "Even though he wasn't a friend or someone who I knew closely, yet as an artiste who I had met a few times, I had a lot of respect for him . In the past few months, we have been hearing of people suddenly passing away due to heart attacks. It's really saddening."
According to reports, Sagar was working in the gym when he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately taken to Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackerey Trauma Care Municipal Hospital at Jogeshwari East, but was declared dead on admission.
