It’s a long-distance marriage, but we’re happy: Simple Kaul

Distance makes the heart grow fonder and Simple Kaul would agree with that. The actress, who has been married to businessman Rahul Loomba for more than a decade, says they are in a long-distance marriage because Rahul travels a lot for work. She says, “He spends a lot of time abroad. I miss him at times, but we have a great understanding and our bond is very strong.At the end of the day, it is all about compatibility and balancing your life. While he is away, I am also able to focus on my career, so it is a happy work-life balance for both of us.”
'I am happy to be an actor and also an entrepreneur’
The actress was last seen in Ziddi Dil Maane Na, which ended a year ago. The past few months, she has been focusing on her restaurant business. “I am passionate about acting, but I also wanted to focus on something else. I am glad that now I am an entrepreneur as well apart from being an actor,” says Simple, who has been part of TV shows like Kkusum, Khichdi, Teen Bahuraaniyan and Saas Bina Sasural among others.
'I don't want to do stereotypical roles in TV'
Simple added, "I don’t mind playing the role of a mother on a TV show if the story is centered around me. I don’t want to do stereotypical roles and be identified merely as someone’s mom, daughter, sister, friend or girlfriend. I want to play characters that contribute significantly to a show’s dynamics."
