‘It was a very beautiful break’

Let���s make that, much before marriage actually! But I guess I had expected that and it was extremely predictable. But with God���s grace it was a very beautiful break. Got married, travelled extensively and set up a new venture with my wife. Got to know who my real friends were etc. The only thing painful was the brief breakup with my love, acting!
You���ve stepped into Iqbal Khan���s shoes in Choona Hai Aasman?
Yes, it feels great to do something more meaningful again.I want to thank the producers and the channel for the tremendous faith that they have shown so far. But I have a slightly different way of looking at things. Instead of thinking that I am stepping into Iqbal Khan���s shoes, I���d like to believe every moment that I am in Flt. Lt. Abhimanyu Adhikari���s shoes. And trust me this duty-bound desh bhakt guy has some serious issues to deal with (laughs). He does not have the time to think about ���Who is he replacing who���.
But isn���t it going to be tough since the original has already been accepted?
I can only appeal to every person reading this interview to watch Choona Hai Aasman just once. It is a beautiful show and I am doing my sincerest best. After that they can decide what to accept and what not to. So far the channel���s response to my work has been very positive to say the least. Hence I repeat, I just go there and do my job. God and his audience decides the rest.
