‘Choreography has become challenging now’

Vrushika feels not everyone is getting their due recognition on social media. She says, “Many people have gained recognition for their dance videos, and some are even getting work. But dancers are not getting recognition because of the lack of followers on social media, which is a drawback.”

At a time when dance steps become trends, she adds, “Choreography has become challenging. Dancing feels easy when you connect with a piece of music, and the choreography flows effortlessly. However, there are days when you are stuck, and your mind stops working as you search for creativity. You should take a pause and try again with a fresh mind.”

‘I am myself when I dance to Bollywood songs’

margin-bottom:0cm;mso-line-height-alt:11.75pt; background:whiteDance is my stress buster. Even if I am tired, irrespective of my mood, dancing has always been my go-to thing. It makes me happy. I am grateful to Dil Dosti Dance for giving me a much-needed platform. When I was offered the show, dancing was all I knew, and it was the perfect start for my dance journey. I am myself when I dance to Bollywood songs. It de-stresses me. I wish to collaborate with Hrithik Roshan and choreograph a piece for Kareena Kapoor. I am settled in Canada now. Although I haven’t tried out professional choreography, I am open to opportunities here. I am planning to conduct dance workshops here soon.
