India's Best Dancer winner Steve Jyrwa says, 'I am keen on becoming a choreographer'

Steve Jyrwa who became the winner of the dance reality show India's Best Dancer 4 last year in November will be doing another dance show. The 17-year-old had told us, "When I won India's Best Dancer, I thought that after this I would go back to my hometown Shillong but I will be doing another show as well. So I stayed back in Mumbai."

The dancer can't share many details about his next show, but Steve has been dancing for the last nine years and sharing his love for dance, he said, "I have always had the support of my grandmother and parents for dancing and I have been doing this for a while. First I wanted to make my mark in the national competition, now that I have won this show, I want to make my name internationally so people recognise me for my dance. I am keen on becoming a choreographer and that would be something that I would work on in life. It is like a ladder that I want to climb one by one and I will fulfill my dreams."

While Steve shared his love for dance, he is currently studying in grade 11 and he says, "I am continuing to study because my mother has said that it is equally important. But mostly my focus is more on dancing and practicing all day. I study as much as it is required and then I give more time to dance practising."
