Indian Idol 3 fame Prashant Tamang passes away at the age of 42 due to a heart attack
Indian Idol Season 3 winner Prashant Tamang has passed away at the age of 42 due to a heart attack on Sunday (11 January). He was reportedly taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack in Dwarka. However, he was announced dead upon arrival.
Fellow singer Pramod Kharel confirmed Prashant’s sudden demise on Facebook. “When all our fellow musicians living in Darjeeling spoke about his death, only then did I come to know,” Kharel wrote.
His sudden demise has left the entertainment industry deeply shocked. Close ones from the industry are mourning his sudden demise.

The late singer was born on January 4, 1983, in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Tamang had achieved national-level fame through his talent.
According to a report by The Kathmandu Post, Prashant had not shown any serious health problems before his sudden demise. Sources reveal that his mother-in-law was the first to learn of his death. She then informed his Indian Idol friend Amit Paul, who then shared the news on social media.
Amit’s post read, “How’s it even fair!!! Keep smiling, Dosti!! The world won’t be the same without you!!! I still cannot process this… My brother, my friend, my dosti, @prashanttamangofficial has left for the heavenly abode… I can’t believe I’m having to write this.”
On the work front, Prashant had won many hearts with his journey in Indian Idol Season 3. His talent and resilience were what fans loved and adored the most. He was currently working on the upcoming movie Battle of Galwan alongside Salman Khan.
