Indian Idol 12 grand finale is all set to begin at noon today (August 15). The 12-hour long episode is going to see the finale participants, judges, host, and some really popular names from the showbiz entertaining the audience. While the results will be declared at the end of the show, ETimes TV's poll result indicates
Arunita Kanjilal
winning the trophy with
Pawandeep Rajan
being a close second.
Poll results show Arunita getting 37% of the vote share and Pawandeep scoring 31%. Both Arunita Kanjilal and Pawandeep Rajan have been good friends throughout the season. Their duets together have been appreciated to the point that the makers also created a love angle to cash in on their popularity.
Besides the two of them, the percentage of votes for the other four finalists of the season are -
Shanmukhapriya
(10%), Mohd. Danish (9%),
Nikhil Tauro
(5%), and
Sayli Kamble
(8%).
All six of them have fought for months to be in the finals.
Talking about Arunita Kanjilal, she was recently praised by Alka Yagnik, who in an exclusive interview to TOI, said, "I don't know who will win because now it depends on the votes. They're all good but my favourite is Arunita Kanjilal. She's just amazing." Former winner Abhijeet Sawant, however, is all for singer Pawandeep Rajan. He told TOI that Pawandeep is a 'complete package'.
It remains to be seen who eventually lifts the trophy. The wait is not too long now.
