Actress Kruttika Desai was harassed by a few men on June 9, when she was heading home from the sets of her show Pandya Store. The actress managed to take a video and she shared it on her instagram.
When we reached out to Kruttika, she said, "Around 6 pm last evening in broad- daylight, I was heading back from Filmcity to Gokuldham (in Goregaon) when three men came in front of my car and asked me to stop.
I thought there was some issue with the number plate or punctured tyres. But I wanted to be alert. I was sitting in the back seat of the car and asked my driver to lock the car doors and open the front window from where I spoke to those men. They acted as if they were cops and said they wanted to search my car if there were any drugs in it. That was when I felt they could be conmen, so I asked for their IDs and they showed me some yellow cards. One of them insisted that I step out of my car, so I asked them to call a lady constable."
She further narrates, "They went towards my driver's window to talk and I started recording a video. They sounded very confident. But I wasn't scared because there were people on the road and I could ask for help. Had it happened at night, I would have been apprehensive. I didn't go to the police station yesterday but I plan to go today after my shoot. I will lodge a complaint."
Ask her if she is worried about travelling on this road, especially at night, after this incident and she says, "That's the only route, so I don't have a choice. However, I am not scared. I am glad that I took their videos and I have their faces on record, so action can be taken against them. I shared about it on social media so that more people can be aware of this and they don't get conned."
