Television actors Zaan Khan and Gracy Goswami play a couple in the TV show Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye and viewers are loving their chemistry, as one can see with the comments online. This has also lead to rumours that the two are more than just co-stars. Besides the duo often posts Instagram reels of them together and also working out pictures when they were shooting recently in a bio-bubble format.
We reached out to the two and asked them about the equation that they share and how they deal with rumours. Excerpts from a candid chat with the duo...
Gracy says that he is not surprised that they have been linked
“I have just turned 18 recently and when the show started, I was very young. But I was sure this would happen, so I was mentally prepared for it and told myself this is something I need to accept,” says Gracy.
Zaan says they are a successful pair on screen and hence the linkup rumours
“I think that is how it rolls. If people don’t like us on screen and they don’t share our edited pictures online then what is the point of putting so much effort into this? We both see it as an achievement rather than something to be worried about. This is the fruit of our hardwork.”
My first impression of Gracy was ye kaun padhaku ladki hai: Zaan
Zaan tells us about the first time he saw Gracy during the initial days and reveals, “When I saw her for the first time I thought who is this book worm? She had a book in her hand and she was wearing spectacles. She didn’t even look at me and kept reading. But as time passed, she started opening up with me and things are fine now.”
I initially thought Zaan was a very khadoos person: Gracy
Gracy recounts the time when she was getting ready for her mock shoot and saw Zaan for the first time. “I saw a guy in a high neck shirt who was totally engrossed in himself and was constantly taking pictures of himself. I couldn’t see his face directly but could manage to see him through his phone’s camera. I thought what a khadoos co-actor I have got because he didn’t even turn towards me,” she shares.
How they managed to break the ice gradually
They took time to warm up to each other, but today have become good friends.
“Its been quite some time now that we have been working together and now we have an understanding which we cannot express in words," says Zaan. "Now I know how to make her feel comfortable and what are the things that she likes and dislikes. We are like Tom and Jerry we fight a lot but we make sure that before we pack up, we sort things out so that it doesn’t stay with us,” shares Zaan.
Zaan is a very dear friend now: Gracy
“He is someone whom I can call anytime no matter what the issue is. Whatever I do today, he is the first person to know. I am someone who is not very easy to convince, one should have that power to convince me for something. Zaan now knows how to handle me. He is a social butterfly, so he knows how to get his way I guess,” exclaims Gracy.
