I was okay playing a mother even in my initial days in showbiz: Aditi Dev Sharma

Aditi Dev Sharma, who was last seen in the show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, which ended in 2019 feels the current period is the best time for actors. In a recent chat with us, the actress shared, ‘With so many avenues in TV, films, OTT and music videos, I feel this is a great time for actors to explore, especially after the pandemic. Today a variety of content is easily accessible to viewers and that helps. I think this is the best time for the entertainment industry.”

Aditi rose to fame with the TV show Gangaa, where she also played a mother to a kid. The actress has no qualms playing mom and is ready to experiment. “I was okay playing a mother during my initial days in showbiz and I am fine with it even today. I don’t understand why an actor would be skeptical about playing a mother on screen. In fact the audience feels more connected with relatable characters on screen, and I love essaying roles that my viewers can connect with.”

The actress, who has acted in Punjabi and Telugu films and in the Hindi movie Ladies V/s Vicky Bhel as well, is now all set for her new show Katha Ankahee opposite Adnaan Khan. Shares Aditi, “The show with its intense romance will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride, giving you a completely new outlook on love, life and relationships. I play Katha, who is a strong woman in today's world." Though Aditi could have watched Turkish series, but she decided to not watch it. It was a deliberate effort as I felt I might get affected by it. Rather than copying the Turkish actress I wanted to bring my own version on the table. I want to create my own character.”
