I took a break from acting, but I am back now: Kartikey Malviya

Kartikey Malviya took a short break to focus on his studies and the young actor is now back. Kartikey, who is best known for shows like Karmaphal Daata Shani, Chandragupta Maurya and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs Season 4, says, “I took a break from work in 2023 for a year and a half during which I completed a course in filmmaking. I’m glad I could do that.”
However, it has affected his work now, he says. “I want to get back to work now, but I am getting very few calls from casting agencies. I guess it is because of the break that I took; maybe people don’t know that I am ready to take up projects again,” he adds.
The 21-year-old has been working since the age of 13. Talking about his growth as an actor, he shares, “I have a long way to go. I am working on my acting skills. My experience as a child artiste has only helped me in my craft, but there’s a lot more to learn. I have studied filmmaking, and I am even interested in direction, too. In fact, I made a short film, but for now, my focus is acting. I might look at direction at a later point in life.”
