I never knew that I could act:Sriti
Television star Sriti Jha is happy with her stint on television.
The new prime-time star, who plays the lead role of a girl next-door in her debut serial Jiya Jale on 9X, insists, ���I never knew that I could act,��� and elaborates, ���I always thought of becoming a professor of theatre.
I had done theatre when I was a student. Later I realised how much I loved acting.���
Contemporary Bollywood inspires Sriti as an actor. And she candidly admits that she would love to work with, ���Nagesh Kukunoor, Sudhir Mishra, Shreyas Talpade and Vishal Bhardwaj. I also admire Konkona Sen Sharma and Ayesha Takia.��� Sriti also hero worships yesteryear actresses Sharmila Tagore and Waheeda Rehman and claims to be a big fan of Hrithik Roshan.
Her high in life? The bubbly actor says she feels very, very pleased to see ���my parents feeling proud of my work.��� On a philosophical note, the 22-year-old says, ���My aim in life is to be the ���best��� in whatever I do.��� And have there been any crazy fans who have made her life colourful? ���Ah! my life is very boring,��� she laughs.
And thanks to her busy, busy work schedule, romance doesn���t really figure on top of the priority list. The criteria for a dream date? ���It���s the person that matters and not the place,��� holds Sriti.
