Bakul Thacker has shown his versatility as an actor. Right from theatre and TV to films. Currently he is busy with his new show The Champ on Bindaas channel where he plays the role of a passionate motorcyle racer named Denzil. Its fun to ride bikes while shooting for the show. Personally I love riding bikes and driving cars but I dont race, he says.
Bakul didnt find it difficult to perform this role at all because most of the stunts were done by the stuntman. One cant normally do those dangerous stunts unless one is trained in them. And yes, its the stuntmen who do the great job and we get the credit, he laughs.
And though Bakul has received some minor injuries while shooting, he doesnt mind it at all as hes enjoying the role immensely.
Considering that hes working opposite some youngsters like Arohi Mishra, Ajay Chaudhary and Himanshu (who play bikers in the show) did he find it difficult to gel with them? Not at all, In fact I get along fabulously well with all of them. We are a cool gang who after the shoot party like crazy, he reveals, adding, The only thing is that I have no love interest in the show as my wife is shown as already dead in a flashback scene, he reveals.
And are any reality shows on his agenda right now? Theres nothing concrete happening on any reality show.
So at the moment my interest in them has declined as there are too many of such shows happening on TV, replies the guy who was earlier seen in serials like Kkusum, Kya Hoga Nimmo ka, Tujpe Dil Qurban etc.
As far as his film projects are concerned, after his brief role in Vikram Bhatts 1920, Bakul is gearing up for his next release Shortcut and Bham Bham Bhole. With deadlines to meet in TV shows and a relaxed atmosphere on film sets, the switching over from one medium to another is amazing, he says.
