I have been acting since I was 7 years old...says Anushka Merchande, who will be seen in Pukaar...Dil Se Dil Tak

Anushka Merchande, who was last seen in the TV show Main Hoon Aparajita and Sasuma Ne Meri Kadar Na Jaani is all set to play a young and fiesty girl in the TV show Pukaar...Dil Se Dil Tak. In a quick chat the actress revealed how she is not new to showbiz and has been acting since she was 7 years old.

She said, "When I was only 7 years old, I auditioned for an ad film and got selected. Since then I have been working in ad films and TV shows. When I acted in Main Hoon Aparajita, I was only 16. It has been an interesting journey because I have been facing the camera as a child. I enjoy acting and always had a desire to act." Talking about her upcoming show, Pukaar, Anushka said, "I play a Jaipur girl, who is very selfish and ambitious and will do anything to achieve her dreams. It is an interesting role because it has many shades."

Sharing her dreams to make it big in films one days, Anushka shared how she was a part of Vidyut Jamwal's Khuda Hafiz 2 and will also act in Singham Again. She said, "I had an important role in Khuda Hafiz 2. I also have an interesting role in Singham Again. I can't reveal much about it but I don't believe that you have to do films only if you bag a lead role. Today, you don't get slotted into playing supporting roles. There are interesting roles in all the mediums. It is possible in future that if people like my work, I will bag a lead role in TV and films. It is all about putting your best foot forward."
