Maheck Chahal
, who was born and raised in Norway, came to Mumbai many years ago to become an actor. She misses her family but is glad that she pursued her acting dream and is happy living in India. “I miss them and so I make it a point to visit them regularly and sometimes they come here too,” she says.
The actress has been in the industry for almost two decades now. Talking about her film career, she says, “I am grateful that I am still working after two decades in this industry, while being relevant. I feel an actor should keep evolving. I am happy with my role in Naagin 6 on TV. It is very refreshing.”

, but she does feel that she didn’t get enough acting opportunities. She says, “Earlier when I wanted to play lead roles, if they felt that was not possible, they would ask me if I would do an item number. I used to love dancing, so I would take it up. I do feel that I didn’t get enough acting opportunities and somewhere got typecast. But now, with the kind of work I am doing, there are different opportunities coming my way. Also, there's more scope now with different mediums opening up.”

Bigg Boss and Power Couple. She says, “Doing reality shows helped me in many ways. Through these reality shows, people got to see the real me and how I like to voice my opinions. I could connect with people and they have supported me and my work.”
On the personal front, Maheck is ready to get married if she meets the right person. She says, “There’s no surety if things will work out or not between two people because circumstances keep changing in life and it’s not easy to survive together in difficult times. Many people broke up during the lockdown because those times weren’t easy. Having said that, I do want to settle down in life, love is a beautiful feeling indeed.”
