Garima Vikrant Singh, who joined the cast of Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet in January this year, has quit the show. The actress was seen playing the role of Jasoda in the show. The show is set to take a leap of 16 years soon and that is the reason she opted out.

Talking about this, she says, "I decided to quit the show because it was going to take a time leap. I am playing the role of a mother on the show and after the leap, they asked me to play the role of a grandmother and I wasn't ready for that. I am fine playing a mother on screen but not a grandmother. I feel if I play a grandmother once then I will be approached for such roles in the future too, which I wanted to avoid."

Garima says actors often get typecast and she has faced this in the past. She shares, "A few years back when I was 30 years old, I was offered the role of a mother to an actor who was 4 years younger than me. I took it up at that time, but after that, I was only approached for the role of mother. Hence this time I did not want to continue with Meet. I explained it to the makers of the show and they were kind enough to understand my concern."

Talking about her plans ahead, she says, "I have shot for a web show where I will be playing the role of a lawyer. I am focussing on doing different roles on the web and films until I get a good role on television."
