I couldn't juggle two shows: Ekta Saraiya on why she quit Anupamaa

Actress Ekta Saraiya, who was last seen in Anupamaa, is now playing an interesting role in Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai. The actress shared how she quit Anupamaa as she got a new opportunity and juggling two shows was not possible.

Ekta said, "I had a good role in Anupamaa but then there were multiple tracks going on in the show. And in the meantime I got selected for Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai, which will also be telecast seven days in a week. So, it was difficult for me to shoot for two shows, simultaneously. The production team at Anupamaa is great and they were okay with me juggling two shows, but it was not possible for me to focus on both the shows. I left the show on a very positive note and am grateful that I got this opportunity to act in a Rajan Shahi show."

She does miss the team of Anupamaa. So who was she closest to there? "Alpana Buch aka Baa and I are neighbours. We stay in the same building. She is a good friend. I played her daughter in the show." said Ekta.

Meanwhile, she is happy to be a part of in Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai. She plays a role with grey shades. "I love playing the antagonist. I played a negative role in Hamari Devrani, too and I feel there is more scope when you play negative roles compared to positive characters. You get to portray many shades," she shared.
