Madalsa Sharma recently got a surprise from her father-in-law Mithun Chakraborty. He came on the sets of her TV show Anupamaa. The veteran actor was shooting in Filmcity,

, for a project and hence he thought of dropping by on the sets of Madalsa's show. She says, "I had no clue that he was shooting in Filmcity and he had planned to visit our sets. He and my mother- in-law (

) both decided to surprise me. I was in my makeup room and he came there, I couldn't believe he was there. I was so excited to see them. He has never come to my

Anupamaa

sets, so I took him around and introduced everyone on the sets. He blessed them all. Everyone was shocked and happy to see him there."

Madalsa says she was touched by their gesture. "Dad visited yesterday but on our sets we are all still in that surprise moment," she says.

Now that shooting has resumed in Mumbai, Madalsa is glad to be back in the city. She says, "Our outdoor shooting was on for two months. I was missing home and everyone here. We are used to working and going back home, but it was different there. But now it feels like we have returnedto our routine and I am happy to be back in Mumbai."
