Actress Rupali Ganguly, better known as Monishafrom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, is enjoying all the adulation and love she is getting from her fans for her new show. However, playing the lead in the show Anupamaa at the time where there is a pandemic situation in the country, has come with a huge cost for her.The actress, for the past three months since she began shooting, has not been able to even touch her seven-year old son Rudransh. "I am scared to touch my son, The moment I return from the shoot, I take a shower and then immediately wear a mask and go to my room where I am living in isolation. And after I leave for shoot in the morning, my room is properly sanitized. All this new normal is very strange for me," shared Rupali getting all emotional, adding, "Not a single day in the past seven years of Rudransh's birth has it happened that he has slept away from me. I am so used to having him by my side. But I can't do that now. And in fact, whenever I get all emotional and want to physically hug or kiss him, I give a kiss on his feet, even in that I have a fear. So such is life now-a-days."

"It is for the first time that I am not with Rudransh for so many days and when he sees me in the serial with kids calling me mom, he thinks I have another set of family and it is really difficult to convince him to watch my show.
Though before the lockdown I did made him sit with me and watch Sarabhai... which he loved," she shared.
Having been known as Monisha even now, ask Rupali how it feels to do a serious role, and she says, "Monisha will always be my all time favourite, also because I am exactly like Monisha in real life. Ask my family about my obsession for discounts and they will tell you. Plus, on the sets of my new show too I keep on falling. And recently, when I had a scene of falling down, I did it so naturally with perfection that my director was hugely impressed. But yes, I am loving this new role of Anupamaa too where I play a homemaker. More so because the kind of emotions I am getting to emote, I feel like I am shooting for some of my dad's film. My father,Anil Ganguly, who has directed some really emotional films like Kora Kagaz, taught me so much about emotions and today I feel like I am a part of his project."
