Manish Goel who has been part of showbiz for two decades is known for TV shows like Bhabhi, Hamari Wali Good News and is currently seen in Anupamaa. Recollecting his journey as an actor, he says, "The time when I started I used to stand in the background, hoping someone would notice and say give this guy a line; he will deliver it. My first project was Just Mohabbat."
He adds, "My breakthrough as a lead came with the TV show Bhabhi which was due to the appreciation I got for my work and roles in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Mehandi Tere Naam Ki and Ghar Ek Mandir."
The actor is glad that he wasn't stereotyped. "After that, I did many lead roles and what makes me even more happy is that I was never stereotyped. I played a guy who is a hero and he has humour, then the show Saara Akaash, I played a pilot, followed by Devi, where I portrayed both an antagonist and protagonist. I have always played varied roles and I was never stuck doing one particular role," he adds.
He further adds how he has continued to learn and evolve. Manish says, "When I step onto a set, I completely surrender myself—to my director, to the script. My only goal is to elevate the scene beyond what’s written."
