‘I am doing my dream role...’
Swati Chitnis is glad she’s giving young actresses competition.
That���s what television does to you! Swati���s a familiar face on TV today and the lady is very happy with the kind of roles she���s doing.
Much like her role of a home-maker in the serial Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family on NDTV Imagine, Swati emphasises on the importance of a family. She says, ���I am a complete family person and have a very big friends circle as well.��� In real life she is an equally positive person like her screen character. She admits, ���I have actually worked a lot to develop into a positive person. I let go of some things and that helps me to maintain my peace of mind.���
Her role as Jasuben keeps her busy 25 days a month leaving her with little time to take up other roles, but she has no complaints. ���Today when most of the lead actresses are young, I have got an opportunity to play the main lead at this age. I am doing a dream role in my character which has all the shades of human nature,��� she says.
TV���s going great, but theatre will always remain her first love. ���I am never going to quit theatre,��� says the vibrant actress.
