Hunar Gandhi is in her hometown for the festive season after four long years. And the TV actress plans to make the most of it. Taking a break from her schedule, she went festive shopping with us to Gurgaon’s Galleria Market. The actress tried out a few kurtas and gorged on chaat. She says, “For me, festivals are all about mithai, clothes and people coming together.
I am a Delhi girl, so I miss Delhi’s festive vibe when I am not in the city during this time of the year. I miss the food as well, especially the golgappas.”
Since she is here after a long time for the festivities, she tells us that she plans to organise a get-together for her family. “I am planning to cook for them for this get-together. There are certain dishes like coconut ladoos that I have learnt, so I thought chalo ab seekha hai toh bana bhi lenge,” she adds.

Hunar adds that her perspective towards festivals has changed since COVID. “It has changed me a lot as well. People are coming together to celebrate after two years, and I think it’s a good thing. Most of our perspective towards festivities has
changed because of the collective crisis we went through due to the pandemic. I can see gatherings this time. And at
the end of the day, it is about happiness and people coming together. I have also learnt that we need to value our time instead of taking things for granted. Many of us took spending time with our families for granted, but I think festivals are all about celebrating with the family. There are still some who prefer working on festivals; I was also one of them, but now I think I would like to take a day off to spend time with my family and friends. I don’t want to miss out on that anymore, and that’s what has changed for me,” she explains.
